Large-Scale Digital Signage Upgrade

IUF delivered a venue-wide digital signage and AV upgrade at AO Arena Manchester, modernising the arena’s digital infrastructure to enhance the visitor experience and support dynamic content delivery across key public and operational areas.

Designed to operate in a fast-paced live events environment, the solution provides the arena with a flexible, scalable digital signage network capable of supporting event messaging, commercial content, wayfinding and operational communications throughout the venue.

The installation includes high-impact LED displays, digital menu boards, wayfinding solutions, and backstage AV upgrades, creating a connected digital environment tailored to live events, guest communication, and commercial engagement.

Ribbon LED Display for Fan Engagement and Sponsorship

A key feature of the project is a ticker-style ribbon LED display wrapping around the interior of the arena bowl. Designed for high brightness, smooth motion content and long-term durability, the display delivers consistent, high-quality performance in a demanding live events environment.

The ribbon screen supports a wide range of content including advertising, venue messaging, live prompts and entertainer-provided media. Its continuous format ensures messaging remains visible throughout the bowl, helping maintain audience attention and strengthen event atmosphere during key moments.

By introducing a large-scale ribbon LED display, the arena benefits from valuable new digital sponsorship inventory while improving guest communication at scale. The result is a more immersive in-bowl experience, combining commercial flexibility with high-impact visual storytelling for audiences throughout the venue.
