Overview

Two flagship stores. One retail media network.

Frasers Group’s Liverpool estate spans two very different retail environments. Sports Direct is a multi-floor sports and lifestyle destination. Flannels is a six-floor luxury fashion store. Both needed a retail media network capable of reaching customers at every meaningful touchpoint, across every floor, and a single hardware specification that could work seamlessly across both.

IUF deployed a bespoke network of IUF-manufactured 75″ retail totems and wall-mounted screens across both sites, from design to deployment in five weeks.

At Sports Direct, high-brightness window-facing totems pull attention from the street, while standard-brightness floor-standing and wall-mounted units carry brand and category content through the shop floor, escalators, fitting rooms, and the Everlast zone.

At Flannels, floor-standing and wall-mounted screens run consistently across all six floors.

All IUF screens are managed via Navori CMS, with zone-specific playlists ensuring the right content reaches the right customer at every position across both stores.

Journey & Experience

Content built for the customer standing in front of it.

The format ecosystem is built across both sites, with hardware and placement decisions made to match the commercial and experiential requirements of each zone:

Sports Direct Liverpool

Ground floor placement was built around visibility before footfall. Two high-brightness totems face the street, engineered to cut through direct sunlight and pull attention from outside the store. Four further screens cover the shop floor, escalator, fitting room, and lift. The first floor mirrors the same logic: two totems at escalator and fitting room, one wall mount at the lift. On the Everlast floor, two wall mounts anchor the changing rooms and two totems serve escalator and lift.

Flannels Liverpool

Six floors. Each one fitted identically: two floor-standing screens and a wall mount, giving consistent coverage from ground to fifth. The fifth floor runs two floor-standing screens only.

Content architecture

Zone-specific playlists were built for every area across both stores. The Everlast zone and each category floor at Flannels carry dedicated content structures, ensuring the right message lands in the right part of the store.

Technology Architecture

Bespoke hardware. Centralised CMS. Playlist logic built for the store, not just the network.

Core Infrastructure

  • Navori CMS – centralised content management and playlist scheduling across the IUF screen network at both Liverpool sites
  • Zone-specific playlist architecture – dedicated content structures built for individual zones including the Everlast area, Flannels category floors, and other site-specific positions

Hardware Ecosystem

  • All screens are IUF 75″ displays
  • Sports Direct: high-brightness totems at street-facing window positions, standard-brightness totems and wall mounts across the shop floor
  • Flannels: floor-standing screens and wall mounts across all six floors
  • Enclosures powder-coated to specification and colour, RoHS and REACH compliant

Support Model

  • Hardware support – IUF retains hardware support responsibility across the network
  • CMS support – IUF provides ongoing back-end CMS support across both Liverpool sites

Implementation

Two live retail environments. Two different store formats. One coordinated deployment.

Phase 1 – Hardware Specification and Manufacture

  • 75″ totem and wall mount formats specified for each site and zone across both Liverpool stores
  • High-brightness and standard-brightness variants confirmed per position based on ambient light conditions and viewing distances
  • Bespoke enclosures manufactured and powder-coated to specification

Phase 2 – Installation

  • Screen network installed across Sports Direct Liverpool, ground, first, and Everlast floors
  • Screen network installed across Flannels Liverpool, ground through fifth floor
  • All units connected to CMS and tested per zone

Phase 3 – Content Architecture and Go-Live

  • Zone-specific playlists built and structured on the CMS backend for each area across both stores
  • Content loaded and verified across all screen positions
  • Network live across both Liverpool sites

Outcomes

A retail media network at the scale of both estates

Two flagship stores. One network. Screens from the street window to the sixth floor, all managed from a single platform.

Zone-specific content across two distinct retail environments

CMS playlist architecture ensures every screen serves content relevant to its zone, across 40+ units and two distinct retail environments.

Bespoke hardware engineered for retail at this level

IUF’s 75″ retail totem range serves a high-brightness window position and a premium fashion floor within the same network spec, manufactured to order with a custom powder-coat finish.
